Help the 15th District Parent Teacher Association (PTA) raise money to provide
new shoes for students in need at Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS). For
more than 50 years, volunteers and donors with the 15th District PTA have
provided new and gently used clothing and accessories for JCPS students. The
15th District PTA launched a fund, From the Ground Up! To solicit community
donations to purchase new sneakers and athletic shoes for students, which are a
basic needs gap for many students and their families.
Each donation of $50 will provide four pairs of shoes to students in kindergarten
through high school. The shoes will be distributed by the 15th District PTA’s
Clothing Assistance Program (CAP), which already provides new uniforms (pants
and a shirt), five pairs of socks and underwear, and a belt to JCPS students in
need.
This fund would be a great way for a business, organization, place of worship, or
an individual to make a big difference in the life of a child. 100 percent of all
donations through check will be used to purchase shoes. (Donations through
PayPal include a slight processing fee.)
