There was a great turnout Saturday, August 19th, at the annual Back to School / Back to PTA event. The event began with a community listening session with JCPS board member Joe Marshall in which participants contributed ideas about what JCPS students should be able to do before they graduate. After a 15th District General Meeting to approve the district budget, District President Sienna Newman trained local PTA officers on what they need to know to help their PTAs be successful. Finally, District and State officers led roundtables for each officer position. During breaks, vendors shared ideas for fundraisers and other events. Thanks to everyone who helped make a great event!
