One of the 15th District PTA’s partners, the Louisville Urban League, is gathering signatures to a letter to share with Kentucky legislators that opposes the efforts to make Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts illegal in K-12. If you so choose, you are able to add your name to this letter.
If public schools and any supporting organizations are serious about providing opportunities to every child, then this legislation threatens those efforts. It takes special programs to reach out to homeless students, foster care students, teenage parent programs, refugees/immigrants, and many families that still suffer from generations of trauma. Please consider signing this letter, if you feel compelled to do so.
